Natura 2000
The Linaria Ricardoi Coutinho is a season plant, which blooms in March and April, and appears mainly in crops of wheat and oats, with low human intervention, or olive groves. It’s a very rare species from this region, considered a major priority for Natura 2000. The two known settlements include a few hundred specimens, so according to current knowledge on the species, this is in jeopardize. The use of herbicides as a result of agricultural intensification and the practice of grazing contributed to a sharp population decline.

Place to be discovered, either on foot or by boat. You can enjoy the natural environment and the silence. With an approximate area of 1480 ha, it is part of a developing tourism area, because of the good conditions for the practice of outdoor activities such as boating and fishing.
